Six Hours That Changed Everything
A limited audio series on leadership, loss, and the dates that stay with us
I talked to my mother at 8am on February 17, 2024.
She was gone by 2pm.
Six hours.
Today marks her birthday, two years later.
And I’m choosing to walk back through the exact dates between her birthday and the day she passed away. Not as a polished retrospective, but as a real-time chronicle of what leading while grieving actually looks like, and I’m sharing with you now.
Dates You Can’t Delete : A limited edition, five-part audio series
This series tells the story behind The Mourning Manager™. A hard month of my life, and how I’m approaching it the second time around. While still being a wife, daughter, mother, friend, CEO, founder, and all the things.
Leadership doesn’t pause. The calendar doesn’t stop. And decisions still have to be made.
🎧 Episode 1 is live now: The Call
This episode is sets the foundation. Eighteen minutes on:
What happens to time, judgment, and capacity when your world fractures
The team that held light for me when mine had dimmed
What I’m noticing as the second anniversary approaches
How I’m handling all of it
As this series unfolds, my hope is that it reaches leaders who are quietly carrying more than anyone realizes.
Those in their first days after loss.
Those years in, when everyone assumes they’re fine.
Those approaching a date they’re dreading.
And those supporting someone else through it, at work or at home.
Leaders who need to hear that their light can dim and they can still lead.
My goal is to reach 1,000 leaders who need this. Not for vanity. Because right now, someone is trying to show up while their world has fractured, and no one has told them they can be both grieving and capable. I hear about them all the time from you.
If this series resonates, I hope you’ll share it in whatever way feels right. Forward it to someone you care about. Pass along an episode to a colleague.
Let it find the person who needs it right now.
🗓 New episodes release weekly through February 17th.
The dates don’t delete. But we can learn to meet them differently.
I think my mom would be proud of how I’m spending her birthday. By sharing this with you. Let me know what you think…just hit reply.
Happy 80th, Mom.
