Saturday Reflection: ✨Finding Your Glimmer ✨
A small story about letting light in, even when life feels heavy.
In this week’s newsletter about the marathon of the holidays, I talked about finding small glimmers of joy in a season that can feel heavy. Sometimes those glimmers come from unexpected places or from people who care about us.
One of my closest friends stopped by recently and quietly offered me a small act of love. She reorganized my bookshelf. She is an interior designer, so she sees beauty in places I overlook. I had my books exactly the way I wanted them, so when she suggested color coding them, I hesitated. Then I said go for it.
When I came home and saw what she created, it brought a renewed sense of calm to my office and a small joy that carried into the rest of the week. It reminded me that even in grief, there are people who want to bring light into our spaces, whether we ask for it or not.
Sometimes when we are grieving, we are so focused on holding everything together that we forget to look up and let someone else be a glimmer for us. This weekend, my reflection is simple. Find your glimmer. And when it feels right, allow someone else to be one for you. You might also be the glimmer someone else needs.
It is often the smallest shifts that create the biggest sense of relief or joy.

This is beautiful. I love that you were able to receive the acts of service and allow someone else to bless you!
Good morning,
I love this... in the small things that are really big but sometimes we can not see them.
Thank you so much!
