Books that helped me on the Journey
Hello there:
In this week’s Mourning Manager issue, I wrote about how we can’t go back, but we can build forward. Sometimes the first brick in that rebuilding is simply finding words that hold you when you can’t yet hold yourself.
If you missed You Can’t Go Back, But You Can Build Forward, you can read it here. It’s one I hope you’ll sit with when you have a quiet moment.
This week, I want to share a few of the books that helped me begin that building process. I call it The Mourning Manager™ Bookshelf, a collection of reads that met me at different points in my journey through grief, loss and leadership.
These aren’t just grief books. They are about courage, identity, and the quiet strength it takes to keep showing up when life changes without your consent.
Here are three that stayed with me:
📘 Vibrate Higher Daily* — Lalah Delia
📗 Grief Is Love* — Marisa Renee Lee
📙 I Wasn’t Ready to Say Goodbye *— Brook Noel and Pamela Blair
✨ Faith Bonus: Daily Prayers for Grieving Hearts* — Jennifer O. White
I read these titles at different points in the grief journey - and I hope wherever you are, they can help you in yours.
